Simply fantastic. IMO.
Yes I'm still on this topic.

I just listened to that show today and was going to mention it to you. This may be one of the best shows no one seems to know about (or talk about). There are no Bob versions that can compare to this one.

Weir. I dont think I've ever heard the Dylan version. Didn't Dylan say that he liked Garcia's versions of his songs better than his own? Perhaps I'm mixing that up.

Get that whole show if you dont have it.

Yes, I don't care for Bob Weir's vocals on Masterpiece. (Sorry Bob. I like a lot of Bobby stuff that seemingly others do not, but not this one ... it's a Jerry song to me.) Oh, the hours I spent, inside the Coliseum, dodging lions and wasting time ... he delivers that line with such feeling. (whatever the hell it means)

That's the late show. Both shows are great, you'll just need to fast forward through some of Ozzie's solos as they can get a little annoying (and they all sound the same). Damn- I really wish Jerry was playing with Merle of Melvin Seals in 1980.

I think he said something like, the best interpreter of Dylan songs other than Dylan was Garcia.

Check out 3/18/78 if you haven't already!!

Smooth like a rhapsody! Love this compilation, thanks for pointing the way. I've got to check out Sugarmegs again, haven't been there in years because of their inexplicable love for windows media.

That was an interesting link as I went here,

http://tela.sugarmegs.org/_asxtela/jgb1980BobDylanCompilation.asx

that skipped me to a WinAmp link. It may be as easy a PB&J, but I haven't seen that before.

Great music. Thanks

Hey just wondering if you guys notice a swirling sound on these sugarmegs streams. I don't get that effect from the GD archive which is strange because it seems like they both come from the same place.
